Our winner answered the question correctly.  Please visit the www.TheTruthAboutForensicScience.com FaceBook fan page.

Our Geeks of the Week answered:

Josh Dale, Esquire answered:

The CRABI 18 Month Old dummy was developed at Humanetics to evaluate small child restraint Systems in automotive crash environments, in all directions of impact, with or without air bag interaction.

Steven W. Hernandez, Esquire answered:

It is used in the study of Anthropometry!

[Blogger’s note:  The CRABI is mostly known for its use in NHTSA inspired crash testing, but it also has seen use in Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) cases to prove that SBS is not likely under conditions and how short falls can cause the triad of injuries.  A more detailed post will be released on SBS and the inaccurate causation and identification of these events.]
